1. Database Structure
Open their database in Access and check the table Design View
The table has all 8 required fields (PodcastID, Title, Host, Category, Episodes, AvgListeners, StartDate, IsPremium)
All fields have appropriate data types
PodcastID is set as the primary key (key icon visible in Design View)
At least one validation rule is present (check Episodes or AvgListeners)
At least 10 records have been entered
Data looks realistic and varied (different categories, listener counts, etc.)
2. SQL Queries
Ask them to run each query and watch the results
Query 1 (Music category, sorted by title) returns correct results
Query 2 (over 50,000 listeners, sorted) returns correct results
Query 3 (their own choice) is written correctly and produces results
They can explain what their own-choice query does
3. Form & Report
Check if they built the optional form and report
They have a data entry form
The form has been customised (title, colours, labels)
They have a report based on a query
The report looks professional and readable
4. Ratings
